Join us for Winter Danzfest on Sunday, December 10th at our flagship studio in Westchester, NY!

Danzfest offers practice competition and showcase performances in 27 dance styles, from Newcomer to Open Gold levels. Students have an incredible opportunity to try new routines and test their dancing in a safe and supportive environment without the pressure or costs associated with traditional competitions.

This year, we’re honored to welcome U.S National and World Professional American Rhythm Champion Inna Ivanenko, who will provide all competitors with personal feedback on every dance style.

Highlights

⭐ All Levels of Experience Welcome: From beginners dancing in Newcomer to seasoned competitors in Open Gold, we invite all dancers to practice their competition and performance skills in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

⭐ Live Broadcast: For friends and family who can’t attend in-person, we will livestream the event.

Practice Competitions

We offer practice competitions across seven levels, including Newcomer, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Open Bronze, Open Silver, and Open Gold.

You can dance in any (or all) of 27 dance styles offered in:

International Latin (Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive)
American Rhythm (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Mambo, Swing)
International Standard (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep)
American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)
Club Dance Styles (Argentine Tango, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Merengue, Hustle, Two Step)

Showcase Performances

Individuals, couples, and groups of all ages and levels have the opportunity to do a showcase exhibition.

Solo: For individuals
Pro-Am: For a couple with an Amateur (student/non-professional) and a Professional
Am-Am: For a couple with two Amateurs
Group: For 3 or more dancers

Price & Registration

Deadline is Weds, Dec 6, 2023. Register via our forms or reach out at 1-212-500-1064.

Entry fees vary from $15/dance for junior competitions up to $150/dance for solo and couple performances, plus a $100 Showcase Fee.

Entry fees do not include instructor fees from time spent preparing for competitions and performances.

Late entries subject to $50 per participant fee.

We’re hosting Winter Danzfest 2023 at our Westchester, NY location, a short train ride from NYC.

About Inna Ivanenko

We’re honored to welcome U.S. National and World Professional American Rhythm Championship Finalist Inna Ivanenko.

Inna is originally from Russia, where she started dancing at the age of 7 as a part of her gymnastics program. She fell in love with Ballroom Dancing and at 12 years old, stopped gymnastics to pursue her dancing. All of the teachers that she worked with noticed her talent and recommended that she dance professionally.

Inna became a student at the Krasnodar School of Performing Arts in Krasnodar, Russia, her hometown. In addition to her extensive training in Ballroom Dancing, Inna studied ballet, folk dance, and choreography for different types of shows, formation dancing, and theatre.

How much does it cost?

Showcase Fee: $100 (includes registration fee and judge’s evaluation)
Junior/Youth practice competition: $15 per dance (includes personal judge’s feedback)
Adult practice competition: $20 per dance (includes personal judge’s feedback)
Group Performance (3 or more dancers): $25 per person
Couple Performance: $200 (includes video)
Solo Performance: $200 (includes video)
Personal Evaluation: $50 (included in single dances)

When can I see heat lists?

Heat lists will be posted on this page on December 8, 2023.

How can my friends and family watch?

This is a live studio event so they can purchase spectator tickets on our website or at the door.

Zoom link will be sent closer to the date.

Are we allowed to take photos or record some of the dancing?

Absolutely! If you post on social media, please tag the studio (@danznikstudios) and use the hashtag #danzfest. We would love to see all your posts!
