Small Group Coaching Questions
How is small group coaching different from regular group classes?
Regular group classes typically have 10-25 students with general instruction for varied skill levels. Small group coaching is limited to 4-6 dancers at the same level, allowing for personalized feedback, focused curriculum, and significantly more individual attention from instructors.
Do I need a partner to join?
No! Most participants come solo. We rotate partners throughout each session so you’ll dance with everyone in the group, developing versatility and connection skills with different leading/following styles.
What's the commitment?
We ask that participants commitment to 4 weeks at a time. Consistent attendance is important since each session builds on previous concepts. Weekly commitment helps accelerate your progress and strengthens the group dynamic.
Will other dance styles be offered?
Yes! We’re expanding small group coaching to Argentine Tango, Ballroom, Brazilian Zouk, Hustle, and Salsa based on student interest. Contact us to express interest in specific styles, and we’ll notify you when groups are forming.
What if I miss a session?
We understand life happens. While consistent attendance is ideal, you can make up missed sessions in another group at the same level (subject to availability). We’ll also provide notes on what you missed.
Can I take both private lessons and small group coaching?
Absolutely! Many students combine both for maximum progress. Private lessons address your specific goals while small group coaching provides consistent practice, community, and affordability. It’s a powerful combination.
