Ballroom dance at Danznik Studios offers a diverse array of styles across four main categories: Standard, Smooth, Latin, and Rhythm. In the Standard & Smooth categories, you’ll find structured dances like the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Quickstep. These dances are known for their elegant movements and precision. Latin & Rhythm categories introduce expressive styles such as the Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, and Salsa, characterized by lively movements and connections to Latin and Caribbean music. Our classes and events cover all these styles, providing opportunities for dancers of all levels to learn and enjoy.
Ballroom Dance Classes
Ballroom Fundamentals with Ruslan Wilder
Fridays 4-5pm • Westchester
Ruslan Wilder will teach various aspects of swing and sway as well as contra body movement focusing on progressive figures for American and International styles, including balance and strengthening exercises as a warm up in each class. All levels are welcome Please use a chair and a medium resistance band for best results during this class.

International Standard Dances with Vitaly Novikov
Sundays 5:15-6pm • Westchester
Taught by Vitaly Novikov, this class will focus on International Foxtrot for beginning and advanced students alike. In class, students will review and refine basic steps and explore new ones with a concentration on dancing with ease and grace. This class is updated monthly with new styles. Please be sure to check back at the end of the month to see what dances will be offered. All levels.

Competition Practice Rounds

Practice your routines in a simulated competition-like setting. Rounds is the best way to work on your floor craft and feed off the energy from other competitive couples on the floor. Iron out those kinks in your routines, build your stamina and have fun along the way. You can participate solo also.
Borough Ball
